Let’s fast forward through all the packing, driving, unloading, and unpacking. BORING.
Our hotel room had a hot tub … unfortunately, this was the closest I came to using it.
The day before the wedding was an absolute blur. Stallion and I arrived in Cape May and almost immediately went our separate ways. I headed to Nine Salon & Spa with my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law for manis and pedis – tough life, I know – and Stallion went to City Hall to pick up our marriage license.
I can’t speak for Stallion, but we ladies had a good time. Such a good time, in fact, that we ended up running late for the rehearsal! Which I don’t have any photos of, because it was incredibly WINDY and COLD. Fortunately, our venue coordinator, Katlyn, was extremely efficient, and the rehearsal took maybe ten minutes from start to finish. Even better, the weather forecast for our wedding day was looking good, so we would be able to have the outdoor ceremony we’d been hoping for.
Anyway, we rehearsed, Stallion and I handed out our wedding party gifts (Stallion gave his groomsmen baseball tickets; I gave my bridesmaids the clutch and earrings I previously talked about, plus theBalm’s Balm Jovi palette and a monogrammed button-down) and then we were off to the rehearsal dinner, graciously hosted by Stallion’s parents at a local Italian restaurant, Cucina Rosa.
The happiest, classiest couple in town.

Dinner was a small, intimate affair – just us, our immediate family, and the bridal party, so it was really laid back and fun. Stallion’s parents made a sweet toast, we stuffed ourselves full of pasta and wine and cannoli, and good times were had by all.
We may have thought we were full when we left dinner, but it turns out we had just enough room left for a couple of drinks. Next stop? The hotel bar for an informal get-together with our guests à la Miss Hen … where we proceeded to party the night away until last call. I crawled into bed somewhere in the neighborhood of 1:00AM. So much for getting a good night’s sleep before the wedding day.
Missed one? Catch up on the fun!
- I humblebrag about how awesome our wedding day was.
